On World Toilet Day 2018, IRC, the SuSanA India Chapter and India Sanitation Coalition organised an Insights session supported by the Ecosan Services Foundation at Taj Land’s End, Byramji Jeejeebhoy Road, Bandstand, Bandra (West), Mumbai. The two-hour event was attended by about 25 people from the government, private sector, NGOs and academia. The topics covered sewage, faecal sludge and grey water in rural and urban areas. The 23rd SuSanA meeting took place in Chennai, India on 18 February 2017 prior to the 4th Faecal Sludge Management Conference (FSM4). It was organised by the India Sanitation Coalition, Ecosan Services Foundation, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras) and the SuSanA Secretariat under the umbrella of the SuSanA India Chapter. It was complemented by a SuSanA WG7 meeting (WASH in Schools) and an open exchange Forum on 17 February 2017. WG4 (technologies) and WG1(capacity development) met around FSM4 conference as well.
