The Panaji module explains how the vision of a city for attaining zero landfilling has been successfully translated into reality by the Corporation of the City of Panaji. The entire city segregates waste into a minimum of 6 fractions. One vision, stable leadership, repeated and targeted campaigns for different user groups and continuous innovation to overcome the challengesof new waste streams have helped Panaji achieve this success.

It captures briefly the technical process involved with a special focus on the communities perspective. The module showcases the overall improvement in the standards of living, local economy, environment, and the biodiversity of the region before and after the scientific closure.
