SuSanA 31st meeting

The 31st SuSanA meeting - the second online of its kind - will take place from August 16th to August 20th 2021. It is organised by the SuSana Secretariat with support and contributions from SuSanA Partners, Members, Working Groups and Regional Chapters. The opening plenary will take place on Monday, 16th of August and the closing session will be on Friday, 20th of August. There will be 9 thematic sessions throughout the week.

Monday, 16th of August 2021
Opening Plenary - 2:00 - 3:30 pm CEST
The meeting will start with an Opening Plenary including a welcome by the SuSanA Secretariat and the Planning Committee, exciting keynote speeches as well as thematic inputs that you dont want to miss.
Session 0: Monitoring & Evaluation - 4:00-5:30 pm CEST

From Tuesday to Thursday, we will have three sessions each day:

Tuesday, 17th of August 2021
Session 1: Sanitation Workers - 9:00-10:30 am CEST
Session 2: Part 1: Papers to Practice & Part 2: WG1 Meeting: Capacity Development - 2 - 2:00-3:30 pm CEST
Session 3: Walking the talk - Professional Women Taking Action - 4:00-5:30 pm CEST

Wednesday, 18th of August 2021
Session 4: How can we ensure that the sludge reaches the treatment plant? - Enabling the private sector to create resilient cities - 9:00-10:30 am CEST
Session 5: FSM Highlights - 2:00-3:30 pm CEST
Session 6: FSM in Latin America - 4:00-5:30 pm CEST

Session 7: SuSanA WG 7 “Sustainable WASH in Institutions and Gender Equality” Meeting Safe reopening of Schools – Global experiences - 9:00-10:30 am CEST
Session 8: Building Climate Resilience towards Sanitation and Hygiene - 2:00-3:30 pm CEST
Session 9: Behaviour Change for COVID19 response and Social Outcomes - 4:00-5:30 pm CEST

Friday, 20th of August 2021
Entrepreneurs Working on Solutions for Urine-recycling - 9:00 -10:00 am CEST
Feedback on the CMTF-Process - SuSanA 2.0 - 2:00-3:30 pm CEST
The session will be about the future of SuSanA as the Change Management Task Force (CMTF) will give a presentation on the outcomes of their work and the way forward to a SuSanA 2.0
Closing Session - 4:00-:30 pm CEST
The closing session will include a reflection of the SuSanA31-Meeting-week, a presentation of the highlights and closing remarks, but also an outlook and a discussion on the way forward towards SuSanA 2.0.
