Mieux préparer l’après COVID-19: L’appel à l'action des Prestataires de Services d'Assainissement (PSA)

La pandémie de la COVID-19 est d’envergure mondiale et affecte notamment les pays d’Afrique de l’Ouest dont l’élan de développement économique et sociale est freiné. Malgré les efforts consentis par les États pour améliorer les conditions d’accès à l’assainissement ; la COVID-19 a poussé les gouvernements à redéfinir leurs priorités et agendas afin de ralentir la progression de la maladie, laissant le sous-secteur de l’assainissement autonome pour compte.

L’attention portée au secteur de l’assainissement autonome et à ses acteurs ne devrait pas être remise au second plan durant cette pandémie. Il est important d’accompagner les prestataires de services d’assainissement qui sont les plus affectés, notamment par une baisse d’activités. Quels sont les enjeux pour cette communauté ? Qu’en est-il de la période post COVID-19 ?

Rejoignez le Programme eau, hygiène et assainissement (WASH-FIN) de l'Agence des États-Unis pour le Développement International (USAID) et Speak Up Africa pour un panel interactif jeudi 25 juin de 10h00 à 12h00 GMT. Cette discussion est l’occasion de discuter des enjeux du sous-secteur de l’assainissement autonome dans le contexte du COVID-19 et d’identifier des pistes de mitigation pour l’après pandémie.
