Chandragiri Municipality is situated in Kathmandu District of Bagmati Province in the central region of Nepal. It is divided into 15 wards and covers an area of 3,117.54 km.

It has a population of 136,860 is residing in 35,994 households in the municipality (National Statistics Office, 2023).
