Debidwar Municipality is a Municipality in the Debidwar Upazila, which is situated in Noakhali District under Chattogram Division. The geographical coordinates of Debidwar are 23°36'0.00"N and 90°59'3012"E. Debidwar Municipality is situated in the Cumilla District. It is bounded on the north by Muradnagar Upazila, on the south by Chandina Upazila, on the east by Burichang and Brahmanpara Upazilas, and on the west by Muradnagar Upazila.
According to the population census in 2011 by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), the population of Debidwar Municipality was 61,418. The urban population growth in Debidwar is 1.3% per year. Considering 10% floating population, such as farmers and traders coming to the city every day, the present (2023) population is estimated to be around 78,886.
