FINISH Mondial Foundation (FMF)
FINISH Mondial Foundation (FMF) was established in 2023 by WASTE as a legal entity to expand the reach and impact of the FINISH Mondial programme. The FINISH Mondial Foundation envisions a world where people are financially included and have access to safely managed water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), along with other locally relevant services such as solid waste and grey water management. These services are designed to be climate-adaptive and contribute to climate mitigation through the sanitation circular economy, supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In 2025, FMF directly supported programme implementation in Ethiopia and India. FMF supported establishment of legal FMF entities in Bangladesh, Uganda, and Ethiopia. The foundation actively promotes innovation in water management, financial inclusion, and sanitation systems. By focusing on preventive healthcare and creating market-based business opportunities in construction, servicing, and sanitation-related sectors, FMF strengthens community resilience. Its approach emphasizes sustainability, while ongoing studies explore the sanitation circular economy’s benefits for soil health, biodiversity, and water retention.
