Motivation/Commitment to the GSC
I am honoured to express my interest in joining the Global Steering Committee of the Sustainable Sanitation Alliance as the representative for the MENA region. With over 25 years of engagement in sanitation, water, and environmental health programs, I have worked to promote inclusive, climate-resilient, and culturally appropriate sanitation solutions. My motivation is to strengthen regional collaboration, share local innovations, and ensure that MENA voices shape global sanitation priorities. I am deeply committed to advancing SuSanA’s mission toward sustainable and equitable sanitation for all.
Is there anything else you would like to say to the SuSanA community?
I have a strong experience in monitoring, evaluation, learning (MEL): collecting data, impact assessment, adapting interventions based on evidence. I have worked extensively in integrating gender, equity, inclusion, and climate resilience into sanitation programs. I also have a strong ability to convene and facilitate multi-stakeholder platforms, workshops, or coordination mechanisms. As an educator, I am committed to capacity building through training local actors, transferring skills and knowledge so that solutions are locally owned and maintained.
