Recent studies on Menstrual Management for school girls in Zimbabwe
Annie Kanyemba (Aquamor, Zimbabwe) presenting at 13th SuSanA Meeting 2011 in Kigali, Rwanda
The development of a Menstrual Hygiene Management book for Zimbabwean school girls was presented. With support from Ms. Zimbabwe the taboo topic of menstruation was more openly discussed in small groups in a number of schools and awareness of the need to pursue open dialogue on problems related to menstrual hygiene management was raised. The book that Annie Kanyemba has developed is in both Shona and Ndebele the two main languages in Zimbabwe.
The 13th SuSanA meeting was held in Kigali, Rwanda on 17-18 July 2011 (Sunday afternoon and Monday whole day) prior to the AfricaSan 3 which took place in Kigali, Rwanda from 19-21 July 2011.
