Background information

The SuSanA publishes case studies of sustainable sanitation projects to demonstrate the wide range of possible systems for sustainable sanitation systems. The case study collection comprise project experiences from developing and industrialised countries, high and low tech systems, urban and rural locations, pilot and large scale applications and different cultural settings. These case studies are useful for decision makers, planners, engineers and the interested public.

For the collection of case studies we depend on your support and would therefore kindly invite you to contribute to this collection by making use of the case study template below.

We collect descriptions of success stories as well as of "failed projects" so that we can learn from our own and other people's mistakes.

Case study compilation

The case study collection comprises 31 project examples from developing and industrialised countries, high and low tech systems, urban and rural locations, pilot and large scale applications and different cultural settings.
The case study compilation is the version from February 2010. The latest case studies are always available from the case study pages on the left.
