Case studies
The SuSanA publishes case studies of sustainable sanitation projects to demonstrate the wide range of possible systems for sustainable sanitation systems. The case study collection comprise project experiences from developing and industrialised countries, high and low tech systems, urban and rural locations, pilot and large scale applications and different cultural settings. These case studies are useful for decision makers, planners, engineers and the interested public.
For the collection of case studies we depend on your support and would therefore kindly invite you to contribute to this collection by making use of the case study template below.
We collect descriptions of success stories as well as of "failed projects" so that we can learn from our own and other people's mistakes.
To select any case studies, please choose from the menu on the right side -->

Case study template
Below you will find a template to be used to describe your project on a maximum of 4-6 pages. For your orientation how such a case study may look like you can orientate on already finished case studies in this section. In chapter 12 you are invited to assess the relative sustainability of your system. For doing this, please see also the sustainability criteria in the vision section of this website.
