Founded on 19 November 2001, World Toilet Organization (WTO) is a global non-profit that is working towards a world with a clean, safe toilet and sanitation for everyone, everywhere, at all times. Our mission is to continue to build the global sanitation movement through collaborative action that inspires and drives demand for sanitation, and provides innovative solutions to achieve sustainable sanitation for all.
We do this through:
• Advocacy that mobilises people to action. Through our constant advocacy efforts in the area of global sanitation, we have made great strides in breaking the taboo associated with sanitation. The cornerstones of our advocacy work are our annual World Toilet Summit and World Toilet Day on 19th November, adopted in 2013 by the United Nations as an official day - UN World Toilet Day.
• Education, advisory and capacity building. Our focus here is on delivering school sanitation training and hygiene promotion programmes, our World Toilet College training model for professional cleaners, and offering consulting in the area of sanitation.
• And a market based approach to sustainable sanitation that empowers communities, through our social entreprise model, SaniShop.
If you tick two options within one filter parameter, then this is treated as an "or" search, meaning either of them could be true. But if you tick two filters for two different parameters then this is treated as an "and" search, i.e. both parameters must be true to return a result. If anything is unclear about how the filter and search combinations work, just contact us: firstname.lastname@example.org
You can run the country filter for the projects by clicking on “Select countries”. However, if you want to combine the country filter with another filter parameter, then you need to operate the “apply filter” button twice: You need to firstly filter by country, then secondly filter by the other filter parameter(s) (or vice versa). To run the filter you need to click on the “apply filter” button.
