SFD (Lite) Report - Muksudpur Municipality CWIS-FSM Support Cell, DPHE (2025)

Muksudpur Municipality is situated within the Muksudpur Sub-District (Upazila) in Gopalganj District (Zila), which is under Dhaka Division. The Municipality is located at south-western part of Bangladesh and about 70 km away from the Dhaka City. The geographical coordinates of Muksudpur are between latitude 23°10'N and 23°22'N and longitudes 89°48'E and 90°02' E. Muksudpur District is bordered on the north by the Upazilas of Saltha, Nagarkanda, and Bhanga, on the south by the Upazilas of Gopalganj Sadar and Kashiani, on the east by the Upazilas of Bhanga and Rajoir, and on the west by the Upazilas of Boalmari and Kashiani.

According to the population census in 2011 by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), the population of Muksudpur Municipality was 19711. The urban population growth in Muksudpur is 0.87% per year. As per information obtained from KII at the Municipality, the present population is around 24,057.

The outcome of the SFD graphic shows that only twenty five percent (25%) of the excreta flow is classified as safely managed, and the remaining seventy five percent (75%) is classified as unsafely managed.
