Shahjadpur is an Upazila or Sub-District of the Sirajganj District in Bangladesh's Rajshahi Division. The Upazila consists of Shahjadpur Municipality. The geographical coordinates of Shahjadpur are 24°10'0" N and 89°36'0" E. Shahjadpur Municipality is situated in the Shajadpur Sub-district. The sub-district is bounded on the North by Ullapara and Belkuchi Upazilas, South by Bera and Santhia Upazilas, East by Chauhali Upazila, West by Faridpur (Pabna) and Ullapara Upazilas.
According to the population census in 2011 by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), the population of Shahjadpur Municipality was 64,507. The urban population growth in Shahjadpur is 1.6% per year. Considering 10% floating population, such as farmers and traders coming to the city every day, the present (2023) population is estimated to be around 85,847.
