SFD (Lite) Report - Raipura Municipality CWIS-FSM Support Cell, DPHE (2025)
Raipura Municipality is located within the Raipura Sub-District (Upazila) situated in the Narsingdi District (Zila) under Dhaka Division. The geographical coordinates of Raipura are 23°58'0.12" N and 90°52'30" E. It is bordered on the north by Belabo and Bhairab Upazilas, on the south by Nanchharampur, Nabinagar, and Narsingdi Sadar Upazilas, on the east by Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazilas, and on the west by Shibpur and Narsingdi Sadar Upazilas.
According to the population census in 2011 by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), the Raipura city population was 34,904 the urban population growth in Raipura is 1.5% per year. Considering 10% floating population, such as farmers and traders coming to the city every day, the present (2023) population is estimated to be around 45,905.
The outcome of the SFD graphic shows that only twenty five percent (25%) of the excreta flow is classified as safely managed, and the remaining seventy five percent (75%) is classified as unsafely managed
