Content - Summary

A SuSanA adotou inicialmente um papel de promoção da importância das questões de sustentabilidade no saneamento, particularmente no contexto dos ODMs, reunindo os profissionais do setor. Uma contribuição importante da aliança tem sido que ela permite que os membros se engajem ativamente em um dos atuais 13 grupos de trabalho que abordam um amplo espectro de questões de sustentabilidade em saneamento. Nos últimos 10 anos, a SuSanA contribuiu significantemente para o desenvolvimento do setor de WASH [água, saneamento e higiene], cujos atores hoje se concentram cada vez mais nas diferentes formas de promover serviços de saneamento. A SuSanA também oferece uma importante plataforma de intercâmbio de conhecimento do setor, utilizada pelos parceiros e pela comunidade de WASH para contribuir para o debate sobre saneamento sustentável e incentivar a expansão do acesso a serviços e a inovação no setor.
