CPlantae is an engineering firm dedicated to wastewater treatment through the power of Natural Intelligence, a design philosophy that integrates ecological wisdom with modern engineering. We specialize in decentralized, low-energy, and circular sanitation systems that harness the regenerative capacity of plants, earthworms, and microbial communities.
Active since 2013, we have implemented more than 500 installations of diverse sizes across all regions of Mexico, working with individuals, communities, eco-hotels, industries, and public institutions to deliver sustainable sanitation where it’s most needed.
We operate through three core pillars:
1. Technological Innovation: We design and implement nature-based and hybrid treatment systems. Our portfolio includes the Lombrifiltro, a worm-based biofilter for treating domestic and industrial wastewater; the Helofiltro, a hybrid system that integrates activated sludge with constructed wetlands for greywater treatment and reuse; and conventional horizontal and vertical flow wetlands for the treatment of both wastewater and fecal sludge. We also develop custom hybrid solutions that combine biological and classical technologies for greater efficiency and reliability.
2. Engineering for Impact: We deliver executive projects complete with technical designs, site supervision, and capacity building. Our solutions help industries, municipalities, and communities lower operational costs, reduce environmental footprints, and meet regulatory standards.
3. Knowledge Sharing: We actively promote environmental education, offering technical support and training for local actors. We believe that building local capacity is key to long-term resilience and scaling nature-based solutions.
