🔹 Why it matters: NTDs affect 1 in 5 people worldwide, yet they remain underfunded and overlooked. Access to clean water and sanitation is essential to preventing 18 of the 21 NTDs—but 1 in 3 people lack safe drinking water, and 4 billion lack safe sanitation. Climate change and conflict only deepen these challenges.
