Content - Summary

La 20è édition du Festival Panafricain du Cinéma et de la Télévision de Ouagadougou (FESPACO)
qui s'est déroulée cette année, du 24 février au 3 mars 2007, a servi de tremplin pour promouvoir
encore plus le système d'assainissement écologique Ecosan auprès du grand public et, en particu -
lier, auprès des festivaliers venus du monde entier. Chaque édition attire une foule immense, une
situation qui pose évidemment des problèmes d'hygiène et d'assainissement.
En terme de visibilité, l'occasion était exceptionnelle, la présence du CREPA a été fort remarquée.
C'est en réponse à la demande de collaboration du Ministère de l'Environnement et du Cadre de vie
du Burkina Faso que le CREPA a installé des latrines écosan mobiles sur les différents sites fré -
quentés par les festivaliers. En une semaine, c'est plus de 12520 utilisateurs des latrines Ecosan qui
ont été enregistrés. Le stand d'exposition du CREPA a connu aussi un grand succès, de nombreux
festivaliers ,avides de tout savoir sur l'approche Ecosan, ainsi que les média nationaux et interna -
tionaux ont visité le stand CREPA.
Par ce succès fort louable au FESPACO, le système Ecosan, démontre une fois de plus sa viabilité
et, du même coup, réaffirme le sens de l'innovation du CREPA
L'approche Ecosan, l'un de nos programmes phares, est porteuse de tous les espoirs, et son succès
au cours du FESPACO en est une belle illustration.
