WASH FORWARD: National WASH Conclave 2022

Advancing Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in Panchayats

The National WASH Conclave 2022 has concluded. We are working on the publications from the Conclave and will share them with you. The speakers and participants covered critical issues India faces on what panchayats can do to improve drinking water supply, sustain the gains made in sanitation, and promote good hygiene behaviour.

This Conclave, the eighth in the series, was on the theme, “WASH Forward: Advancing Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in Panchayats”. It brought Government and all sector players together to deliberate, reflect, share and learn from experiences on effective delivery of WASH services by Panchayats including ways to improve resilience to future pandemics and major disruptions, including climate change.

This conclave was organized by National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) in collaboration with Ministries of Jal Shakti, and Panchayati Raj, UNICEF, WaterAid and other development partners and organizations.
