The SuSanA meetings are held in different parts of the world in order to facilitate local actor involvement and are often closely attached to other important water and sanitation related conferences or events. Twice a year SuSanA meetings are organised to monitor progress of the various working groups and other activities of the SuSanA .

The 16th meeting was held in Stockholm, Sweden on 31 August 2012 (Friday) and 1 September 2012 (Saturday), directly after the Stockholm World Water Week 2012 (SWWW). The meeting was hosted by the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and the SuSanA secretariat.

The 15th SuSanA meeting was held in Cairo, Egypt. The SuSanA meeting was held in parallel to the 4th Africa Water Week which took place in Cairo, Egypt from 14-18 May 2012. The venue was at the Citystars Hotel in Cairo.
