A Free Learning Portal for Field Workers, Donors and Others

Led by WaterAid in Australia, in collaboration with the WASH Reference Group the Inclusive WASH project provides a free learning portal for field workers, donors and others. Sessions on inclusive WASH start on 30 October 2011.

The first cewas Forum aims to discuss effective ways to strengthen business development for sustainable sanitation and water management.

The German Toilet Organization (GTO) in cooperation with WECF (Women in Europe for a Common Future) offers a training course on "Toilets for schools and public buildings in developing countries". The weekend seminar will take place in Iffeldorf, near Munich on 11th and 12th February. It is intended for NGO workers who want to develop their knowledge on sustainable sanitation. The course topics range from technical possibilities and socio-cultural aspects to reuse of human excrements.

Technical, Environmental & Economic Challenges

Location: Santiago de Compostela, Spain In this Conference, wastewater treatment will be faced from a global approach, meaning that issues about new processes and technologies will be considered together with those related to emissions, economy and environmental analysis in an integrated perspective.

The 4th international Dry Toilet Conference will be held at the University of Tampere, Finland in August 2012. The main theme of the conference is Drivers for ecological dry toilets in urban and rural areas.
