Sanitation Systems and their Functionality in Health Protection

This presentation explains the meaning of sanitation and hygiene using the value chain approach to determine its repercussions for human health. It talks about issues such as safe collection, storage, treatment and disposal / reuse / recycling of human excreta, sludge and sewage effluent, greywater, solid waste. It also mentions the need for hygiene and behavior change and drainage and management of stormwater.
