The German Toilet Organization (GTO) in cooperation with WECF (Women in Europe for a Common Future) offers a training course on "Toilets for schools and public buildings in developing countries". The weekend seminar will take place in Iffeldorf, near Munich on 11th and 12th February. It is intended for NGO workers who want to develop their knowledge on sustainable sanitation. The course topics range from technical possibilities and socio-cultural aspects to reuse of human excrements.

In 2012 the Special Rapporteur on the right to safe drinking water and sanitation will prepare a report on stigmatization in the realization of the rights to water and sanitation to be presented to the Human Rights Council in September 2012. In order to benefit from diverse views and perspectives, the Special Rapporteur will organize a public consultation on this issue. The consultation will take place in Geneva on 01 February 2012.
