IWA PIA invites applications for Development Awards - Gain International Recognition for Innovation and Technical Excellence. The deadline for submission is 1st July 2011
The award has been established with the explicit purpose of recognising innovations that have led to significant improvements in water and sanitation service delivery in low and middle income countries. The programme’s goal is in keeping with the IWA’s founding mission of “connecting water professionals worldwide to lead the development of effective and sustainable approaches to water management”. This awards competition has been modeled on the existing IWA Project Innovation Awards, but with a specific focus on projects in developing countries. For more information on the submission criteria applied to the Awards, please click here; The winners and honour awardees will be recognized during an Awards dinner in November 2011 at the 2nd IWA Development Congress in Malaysia. Award winners will receive a commemorative plaque, a feature article in Water 21 and the IWA Yearbook, and the use of the IWA Project Innovation - Development award programme certificate in their own advertising and marketing campaigns.
