El lunes 16 de noviembre tuvo lugar un evento paralelo de SuSanA enfocado en las “Herramientas para la Sostenibilidad.” Al evento asistieron aproximadamente 50 personas y fue inaugurado con un discurso de apertura del presidente de la Asociación Interamericana de Ingeniería Sanitaria y Ambiental (AIDIS), Sr. Carlos Alberto Rosito. Este fue seguido por presentaciones que destacaron materiales de los grupos de trabajo en seguridad alimentaria, salud e higiene, economía y costos y concluyó con una entrevista de cómo mejorar los materiales para hacerlos más útiles y una animada discusión con la audiencia.
During 15-19 November 2009 the 1st IWA Development Congress with focus on what works in water and sanitation service provision in developing countries - took place in Mexico City, Mexico (http://www.iwa2009mexico.org). The Congress aimed to build bridges between sector professionals and brought together approx. 400 experts working in different regions, different organizations and with different approaches to water and sanitation service delivery.
