Tamagawa Craft inc.

Tamagawa Craft Inc. is a Japan based private manufacturer of plastic products. Presently in Japan, “protection against disaster” draws great interests of the public after the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear plant accident. Japan has been an advanced country where there are almost no sanitary problems with toilets. However, we have been developing portable toilet products for victims and refugees of emergency and disaster situation since 1999. Currently, our products supports outdoor activities by the national Antarctic expedition teams of Japan and Kingdom of Belgium. They are also used widely as temporary toilets in various sporting events such as a mountain climbing race.

Tanzania Association of Environmental Engineers

The Tanzania Association of Environmental Engineers (TAEEs) was established in 2004 as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), offering community facilitation services in water supply and sanitation, solid waste management, public health & hygiene and education, engineering studies, design, implementation and supervision of water supply and sanitation projects, environmental and institutional development studies. TAEEs has been continuously working with government institutions including Ministry of Water (MoW), district councils and Non-governmental Organization in various themes and is a member of the Tanzania water and sanitation network (TAWASANET). WaterFinns (Finland), SSNC (Sweden) are among the international organizations that TAEEs continues to work with, while Environmental Management Trust (EMT), Agenda for Environment, foundation for Civil Society (FCS), CBCF, are among the local NGOs that TAEEs has and is still working with. To date, TAEEs is working in 15 districts in the country under the national rural water supply and sanitation programme since 2008 and is accruing good experience gained there to implement other parts of the country as a way of information and experience sharing. Currently, TAEEs has 5 branch offices in Mtwara, Mbeya, Biharamulo, Karagwe and Muleba all working on rural and community water supply programme and coordinating all activities for better performance of output.

TaWaSa.Net (Tanzania Water and Sanitation Network)

The Tanzania Water and Sanitation Network (TaWaSa.Net ) is a recently formed network of Tanzanian civil society organisations working in the water and sanitation sector. The network was officially launched by the Minister of Water and Irrigation, Professor Mark Mwandosya, during Maji Week 2008. TaWaSa.Net was formed in order to increasing sharing between civil society organisations, promote partnerships between civil society and other sector stakeholders, build the capacity of civil society in the water and sanitation sector, and to strengthen the voice of civil society in national policy debates. Vision: A Tanzanian society in which all citizens have equal access to safe water and improved sanitation. Mission: To strengthen the coordination, collaboration and networking of diverse Tanzanian civil society organizations with all other stakeholders to influence policy makers and implementers and to promote good practices in the water and sanitation sector.
