The Consortium for DEWATS Dissemination (CDD) Society is a non-profit organisation working in the field of decentralised basic needs services across India. CDD Society aims to create a knowledge base for up-scaling these services through its capacity building approach.

We are happy to announce that we are conducting a day long training on regular Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of DEWATS on Friday, 5th March 2010 in Bangalore. The training emphasises on the fact that a DEWATS unit can perform well only if regular and proper maintenance is carried out.

Eligible trainees are operators and other responsible persons working with DEWATS who are interested to acquire knowledge and skills on basics of how the treatment modules work. The training imparts knowledge and skills on the correct procedure for carrying out tasks for regular operation and maintenance and the importance of carrying out these activities. Explanation of activities, on-site demonstrations and discussions on significance of O&M activities are supported and provided by an experienced training team from CDD Society. On successful completion of the training course, participants will receive a certificate from CDD Society.

Please find enclosed herewith the training poster for additional information as well as the application form to apply for the training. We request you to send back the filled application form at the earliest. As the seats are limited, relevant participants will be selected by an expert committee and informed as soon as possible.

This training is sponsored by CDD Society. Travel by train (3AC) will be reimbursed. In case you are flying to Bangalore, we would reimburse an equivalent of the 3 AC train fare.
