10th Sanitation Community of Practice (SanCoP) event in London

26.04.2012 | 11:00 - 17:00

This is the third meeting of our three part series on 'Achieving urban sanitation at scale'. The topic for the meeting is 'Achieving and Sustaining Scale'.

The meeting will focus on understanding and influencing political decision-making and large scale financing for urban sanitation. This will include:

•Experiences from recent work on analysing the political economy of sanitation.
•Discussions on sustainable household-level and municipal financing and obtaining adequate budget allocations.
•Updates on global sanitation financing trends and discussions from the recent 6th World Water Forum.

We will address these issues through a series of short presentations and lively debates and discussions in an informal setting - with plenty of time for networking.

If you feel your work is relevant to these topics and would like to present a talk or activity, please submit an abstract of max 200 words describing what you would like to present by Friday 30th March to Steve via sancop.uk@gmail.com and stephenjones27@gmail.com.

We particularly encourage students and young professionals to apply. We welcome case studies of failures as well as successes, and presentation of ongoing projects or work-in-progress for discussion as well as finished results.

We are keen to have a wide array of practitioners, researchers and policy makers in attendance so please feel free to circulate this invite to anyone you believe it may be of interest to.
