The Sustainable Sanitation Alliance (SuSanA) celebrates this week its 5th anniversary since its formation at the kick-off meeting in Eschborn, Germany on 29 January 2007. Looking back we can all be proud of what we have achieved together. Therefore the SuSanA secretariat wants to take this opportunity to thank everybody for their cooperation, dedication, support and interest to work as a network on a common vision of sustainable sanitation.

The EcoSan Club Austria was founded on 20.02.2002 and is therefore celebrating its 10 year anniversary in 2012. Issue 10 of Sustainable Sanitation Practice (SSP) is therefore devoted to „10 Years EcoSan Club“.

The issue comprises 3 articles which:
1. tell the story behind EcoSan Club,
2. revisit implementation projects that EcoSan Club has been carried out during the last decade, and
3. summarize awareness raising activities of EcoSan Club.

The International Water Association (IWA) is a global membership association for water and wastewater professionals. Serving over 10,000 members in over 100 countries, the association consists of a multi-faceted network that generates knowledge and builds expertise across the entire water cycle.

We would like to inform you about the MENA scholarship programme – 2012 with regard to the international training of trainers on wetland management. The course is focussing on the facilitation of multi-stakeholder processes and curriculum development and is endorsed by the Ramsar Secretariat.
