We are happy to announce the details of our next SanCoP event (agenda to follow).
The topic of the 20th SanCoP meeting will be Inclusion in global sanitation and hygiene services: exploring the current state of knowledge, practice, gaps and emerging issues. The event is being kindly hosted by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine on Thursday 23rd November, 10.30am until 4.30pm.
While the global sanitation and hygiene sector has come a long way in addressing inclusion for access there is still much to be done to improve services for users. The evidence around what works and what doesn’t is still largely anecdotal and there is now a need to understand the current state of knowledge within the sector and where evidence gaps still exist
The day will start by reviewing the extent to which global sanitation and hygiene services are inclusive through presentations from a range of industry experts. The event will then focus on facilitated group discussions exploring what needs to be done to further improve inclusion.
The meeting's focus will include inclusion in relation to Menopause, Incontinence, LGBTI, Inclusion in emergencies, Menstrual Hygiene Management, Disabilities and Gender.
