2016 Rotary International Presidential Conference WASH in Schools

The conference is designed to offer a wealth of salient information, a forum of ideas, and an avenue for discussion about WATER concerns particularly in the Southeast Asia region. It will highlight WATER situations in schools and among schoolchildren. It will address WATER education among communities, down to the grassroots level. It will simultaneously hold a project fair showcasing best practices in water and water-related projects particularly in schools and featuring a space for discussions among present and prospective stakeholders.


Further Description / Program

Tree plenary sessions and one technical session will take place in the conference:

1st Plenary session:

- Status of WASH Projects in Public Schools
- Water Education for Children and Communities
- The Inconvenient Truth – Water in South East Asia

2nd Plenary session:

- Collaboration Across the Areas of Focus
- Collaboration with the Private Sector, the NGO Sector and the Government
- Funding Source for WASH Projects – Project Partners
- WASH Projects

TECHNICAL SESSIONS
Group 1 Collaborations Under the Areas of Focus
Group 2 Education and Literacy on Hygiene
Group 3 Monitoring and Evaluation

3rd Plenary session: Closing ceremonies
