MENA Chapter

Welcome to the SuSanA Regional Chapter Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Severe water shortages and mismanagement, ongoing conflicts and devastating humanitarian crises are affecting the region. The sanitation sector is highly challenged. Knowledge transfer and building regional capacities is critical to ensuring a safe future for all.

By establishing a Regional Chapter MENA, SuSanA opens its knowledge pool and makes content relevant and adapted to the MENA context accessible for the Arabic and French speaking communities, for both professionals and students looking to advance sustainable sanitation in the region.

The SuSanA Regional Chapter MENA team warmly invites contribution to the different functionalities of the chapter, including relevant publications in Arabic, open source training materials, topics for discussion on the SuSanA forum, past and ongoing project descriptions and new regional partnerships.

أجزاءٌ شاسعة من منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا تواجه حالياً شحّاً شديداً في المياه ونزاعات قائمةً وأزماتٍ إنسانيةً فاجعةً. ولذلك؛ فالمنظمات والأفراد الفاعلين في قطاع الصرف الصحي المستدام يواجهون تحديات صعبةً، وهم بحاجة ماسّة لنقل المعرفة وبناء القدرات في المنطقة في هذا القطاع .

بتأسيس البَند الإقليمي لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا؛ سيتمّ تسويقُ مجمّعِ المعرفة الخاص ب SuSanA بشكل قويٍ في المنطقة وسيتم إتاحة المُحتوى المتعلّق بالمنطقة والقابل للتطبيق فيها للناطقين بالعربية والفرنسية من المُجتمعات والمنظمات غير الحكومية (NGOs) والمؤسسات الحكومية والجهات المعنية بالشأن والعاملة على تحسين الصرف الصحي في المنطقة.

ولإعمار البَند الإقليمي بالمحتوى المتعلق بالموضوع وربطه بجميع الجهات ذات الشأن في القطاع؛ يدعوكم بَدد SuSanA الإقليمي لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا بحرارةٍ للمشاركة بمختلف اختصاصات البند وتضمين المنشورات (العربية) وفتح مواضيع للنقاش في منتديات   SuSanA وطلب المشاريع والشراكات المختلفة. للمساهمة؛ من فضلك تواصل مع سكرتاريا SuSanA على وللاشتراك بالقائمة البريدية الجديدة؛ من فضلك سجل هنا
