In order to showcase its current and future activities the SuSanA organised a side event "Sanitation systems and their links to climate change, food security, and urban development - The Sustainable Sanitation Alliance (SuSanA): A learning network" during the World Toilet Summit (WTS) on 2 December in Singapore.
On Monday 16 November a SuSanA-side event focusing on "Tools for Sustainability" took place.
A special seminar "Organisational co-learning for upscaling sustainable sanitation in Sub-Sahara Africa" was organised by WRC, GTZ and SEI on Johannesburg, Nov 8th, 2009 (Sunday) in Johannesburg, right before the Afrcian Water Week (AWW).
The 10th SuSanA meeting was held on the 18th August 2009 in Stockholm at the World Water Week. A SuSanA side event "Sanitation systems and their links to climate change, food security, and urban development - The Sustainable Sanitation Alliance (SuSanA): A learning network" was also organised during the World Water Week.
The 9th SuSanA meeting was held on the 16-17 May 2009 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The meeting was attended by His Excellency, the Minister of Health, Ethiopia Dr.Kebede Wolku who emphasized the need for sanitation in Ethiopia and said that "SuSanA is like WASH movement Ethiopia except that it is international".
